Wildlife Park with VIP Koala Experience
Step into Hamilton Island Wildlife, a captivating park where you can encounter Australia’s iconic animals up close. Highlight your visit with an unforgettable koala encounter, where you can get up close and personal with one of these adorable marsupials and capture a memorable photo. Explore a diverse range of native species, from playful kangaroos to fascinating reptiles, while guided tours and hands-on experiences enhance your connection with nature. It's an ideal stop for anyone seeking a truly Australian wildlife adventure.
What to Expect
- Enjoy getting to know Australia’s iconic wildlife (cuddly koalas!) in the Café exhibit at a relaxed pace, and spend some quality personal VIP time with them.
- Expert keepers will spend 60 minutes explaining about these special individuals and about wild Koalas, their amazing lives, their habitat, and how we can protect them.
- Keepers will also snap digital photos of you and the koala, and you will have 4 souvenir photos capturing this once in a lifetime experience, emailed to you that day.
- Choosing this activity entitles you to free entry to the wildlife park throughout your entire stay, allowing you to revisit these friendly creatures anytime you want!

Additional Information:
- Hamilton Island Wildlife has made the ethical decision to not allow guests to hold koalas. During encounters, you can enter the exhibit, touch and pat a koala, but are not allowed to hold the koala during the experience.
- The Wildlife Park is open from 8am - 4pm, with an optional guided tour at 10am and an animal feeding tour (crocodile, cassowary, and macropods) at 3pm that you are free to join at your own leisure.
- The Wildlife Cafe is open from 7:30am - 3:30pm, with snacks, cakes, and hot/cold beverages available for sale.

- Dent Island is just a 10-minute ferry ride from the Hamilton Island Marina, and your ferry transfer will be scheduled at the time of your booking.
- There are two distinctly different 9-hole circuits - both of which return to the central Clubhouse, which offers spectacular views over Dent Passage and the Whitsundays. The outward holes have a more compact layout, and the inward are strung out along the ridges to the south.

The Buggy Hire is across the road from Reef View Hotel, and can also be booked via the Hamilton Island app. Please note that a valid driver’s license is required to operate the buggy.
